Hear from Our Customers
Your flowers arrive fresh. Not shipped-in-a-box fresh. Hand-delivered-by-someone-who-cares fresh.
They last. A week, sometimes longer, because we source from growers who know what they’re doing and we condition every stem before it leaves our shop.
The person receiving them doesn’t just say “thanks.” They take a photo. They text you. They actually remember it. That’s what happens when you skip the national websites and work with a real Chelsea florist who’s been doing this long enough to know the difference between good enough and worth it.
Columbia Midtown Florist operates in Chelsea, NY, where we’re close enough to the historic Flower District to hand-pick blooms most mornings. That proximity matters when you’re trying to get the freshest roses, tulips, orchids, and seasonal stems before anyone else.
We’re not a website pretending to be local. We’re here. Our team knows Chelsea—the High Line crowd, the gallery openings, the corporate offices near Hudson Yards, the residential buildings that want weekly arrangements. We deliver to all of it.
You’ll work with florists who actually design arrangements, not customer service reps reading scripts. If you need same-day delivery or want something custom, we’ll make it happen without the runaround.
You place an order online or call us directly. Tell us what you’re looking for—occasion, color preferences, budget. If you’re not sure, we’ll ask a few questions and point you toward something that works.
We design your arrangement fresh that day. Our florists hand-select stems, arrange them in a way that actually looks good (not just crammed in a vase), and make sure everything’s conditioned to last.
Then we deliver it ourselves. Same day if you order early enough. Hand-delivered to the door in Chelsea, Midtown, or anywhere in Manhattan. No shipping boxes. No wilted surprises. Just flowers that show up looking the way they should.
Ready to get started?
Every arrangement starts with fresh-cut flowers sourced from trusted growers. We’re talking roses that haven’t been sitting in a warehouse for a week. Orchids that still have that just-bloomed look. Seasonal stems you won’t find at the grocery store.
You can order online and pick from our designs, or call and work with us on something custom. Birthday bouquets, anniversary arrangements, apology flowers, corporate gifts, weekly subscriptions for your office—we handle all of it.
In Chelsea, that means delivering to brownstones near the High Line, corporate offices around Hudson Yards, art galleries in West Chelsea, and residential towers throughout the neighborhood. We know the buildings, the doormen, the loading docks. We get your flowers where they need to go.
If you’re hosting an event—whether it’s an intimate dinner or a corporate gathering at Chelsea Piers—we design installations and centerpieces that fit the space. Not cookie-cutter. Not overpriced. Just well-executed flowers that make sense for what you’re doing.
It depends on where in Chelsea you’re delivering and how busy we are that day, but generally, if you order by early afternoon, we can get flowers delivered same-day.
The earlier you order, the better. Morning orders give us time to design something thoughtful and get it delivered during business hours. If you’re cutting it close—say, 2 or 3 PM—call us directly instead of ordering online. We’ll tell you straight up if we can make it happen or if next-day is more realistic.
For deliveries to offices and corporate locations, earlier is always better because building access and reception hours vary. Residential deliveries have a bit more flexibility, but we still recommend ordering before noon if you want guaranteed same-day service. We’d rather be honest about timing than promise something we can’t deliver.
We’re an actual flower shop in Chelsea. National websites are order-gathering services that take your money, send your order to a random local florist, and take a cut. You pay more, the florist gets less, and nobody’s accountable when something goes wrong.
When you order from us, we’re the ones designing and delivering your arrangement. You’re not getting a mystery florist three neighborhoods over who’s never heard of you. You’re working with our team, and if there’s an issue, you call us directly.
The flowers are fresher because we source them ourselves from the Flower District. The arrangements look better because our designers actually care about the outcome. And the delivery is more reliable because we’re handling it, not outsourcing to a third-party courier who’s juggling 50 other stops. It’s a shorter chain with fewer chances for something to go wrong.
Yes. We deliver to offices, corporate buildings, co-working spaces, hotels, galleries, and event venues throughout Chelsea and Manhattan.
We’re familiar with building protocols—checking in with reception, coordinating with security, navigating loading docks, timing deliveries around meetings. If you’re sending flowers to someone’s office, we’ll make sure they actually receive them, not leave them sitting in a lobby somewhere.
For corporate clients who need weekly arrangements or regular deliveries, we offer subscription services. You pick the frequency, budget, and style preferences, and we handle the rest. A lot of Chelsea offices, law firms, and creative agencies use this to keep their reception areas and conference rooms looking sharp without having to think about it every week.
If you’re planning a corporate event—product launch, client dinner, holiday party—we design custom installations that fit your space and budget. Call us to discuss specifics, and we’ll walk you through options.
If you take care of them, most arrangements last 5 to 10 days. Some stems, like roses and lilies, can push two weeks if they’re conditioned properly and you’re changing the water regularly.
The longevity depends on a few things: how fresh the flowers were when we designed the arrangement, how they’re cared for after delivery, and the specific types of flowers in the mix. Hardier blooms like roses, orchids, and carnations last longer. Delicate stems like tulips and peonies are stunning but have a shorter window.
We condition every stem before it goes into an arrangement—trimming, hydrating, removing leaves that would sit below the waterline. That prep work adds days to the lifespan. After delivery, the recipient should change the water every couple of days, keep the arrangement out of direct sunlight, and trim the stems at an angle every few days. Those small steps make a big difference.
If flowers arrive and don’t last as long as they should, call us. We’ll figure out what happened and make it right.
Absolutely. We do custom arrangements all the time.
If you have something specific in mind—certain colors, particular flowers, a style you saw somewhere—just tell us. Call the shop or include notes when you order online. Our designers will work with what’s available and fresh that day to create something as close to your vision as possible.
Sometimes the exact flower you want isn’t available or isn’t in good condition. When that happens, we’ll suggest alternatives that achieve the same look and feel. We’re not going to force a stem into an arrangement if it’s not up to standard just because you requested it. We’ll call you, explain the situation, and offer options.
For bigger custom projects—weddings, large events, corporate installations—schedule a consultation. We’ll go over your ideas, show you examples, talk through budget and logistics, and design something that fits what you’re trying to do. Custom work takes more time and coordination, so the earlier you reach out, the better.
We deliver throughout Chelsea and the rest of Manhattan—downtown, midtown, uptown, everywhere in between.
In Chelsea specifically, we cover the entire neighborhood from 14th Street up to 34th Street, Sixth Avenue over to the Hudson River. That includes the High Line area, Chelsea Market, Hudson Yards, the gallery district in West Chelsea, and all the residential and commercial buildings throughout the neighborhood.
Beyond Chelsea, we deliver across Manhattan to offices, residences, hospitals, hotels, and event venues. If you’re sending flowers to someone in a different borough or outside Manhattan, call us to confirm. We can often accommodate deliveries to Brooklyn, Queens, and other areas, but timing and fees vary depending on location.
For same-day delivery, Chelsea and nearby Manhattan neighborhoods are the easiest to guarantee. The farther out you go, the more lead time we need. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to a specific address, just ask. We’ll let you know what’s possible.
