You need flowers delivered to a walk-up on Orchard Street by 3 p.m., or you need to send something to an office in the Financial District before the end of business. The building has a doorman. Or it doesn’t. Either way, the recipient needs to actually receive them.
That’s where most flower delivery falls apart. The address gets confused. The timing’s off. The arrangement arrives looking like it spent two days in a warehouse.
We source directly from the NYC Flower District every morning and design your arrangement the same day you order. Our delivery team knows the buildings, the protocols, the doormen. You get confirmation when it’s delivered. The flowers last 5 to 10 days with proper care because they’re fresh—not shipped cross-country or sitting in a cooler since last week.
Columbia Midtown Florist operates out of Midtown Manhattan, right in the heart of the NYC Flower District. That means we’re at the market by 5 a.m. picking stems while most of the city’s still asleep.
We’ve been serving Lower East Side residents, businesses, and venues for years. We know the neighborhood—the mix of old-school delis and new condos, the creative studios above the bars, the corporate offices tucked into converted buildings. We deliver to all of it.
No wire services. No third-party handoffs. When you order from us, we handle it start to finish.
You place an order online or by phone. If it’s before noon on a weekday or Saturday, we deliver same day across Manhattan. If it’s after, we deliver next business day.
We design your arrangement that morning using what’s fresh from the Flower District. If you want something specific—certain colors, certain flowers, a particular style—we build it. If you’re not sure, we guide you based on the occasion and who’s receiving it.
Our driver heads out with your arrangement and delivers it directly to the address you provided. If there’s a doorman, we hand it off. If it’s a walk-up, we make sure someone’s there or leave it securely. You get a confirmation once it’s delivered.
That’s it. No mystery fees. No wondering if it actually arrived. You order fresh flowers from a local florist, and they show up the same day looking like they’re supposed to.
Ready to get started?
You’re paying for flowers that were cut this week—not last week, not two weeks ago. You’re paying for a designer who listens when you say “nothing too formal” or “she loves peonies.” You’re paying for a delivery driver who knows that your building on Ludlow requires a buzzer code and won’t just leave it on the stoop.
Lower East Side has one of the highest percentages of renters in Manhattan. That means a lot of new apartments, a lot of building turnover, a lot of complicated delivery instructions. We’ve delivered to enough walk-ups, doorman buildings, and artist lofts in the neighborhood to know what works.
We also handle corporate accounts—weekly arrangements for offices, lobbies, and reception desks. We work with event planners and couples getting married at local venues. We coordinate directly with funeral homes when timing matters most.
The difference is we’re not outsourcing your order to another shop or handing it off to a national service. We’re the ones sourcing the flowers, designing the arrangement, and delivering it ourselves.
Yes, as long as you order by noon Monday through Saturday. We deliver throughout Manhattan, including the Lower East Side, same day.
Here’s why that matters: a lot of online flower services promise same-day delivery but outsource to whichever local shop has availability. That creates delays, miscommunication, and quality issues. We control the entire process. We design it in our shop, our driver delivers it, and you get confirmation when it’s done.
If you order after noon, we deliver next business day. We don’t overpromise. If we can’t hit the window, we’ll tell you upfront.
Most arrangements last 5 to 10 days with proper care. Roses, lilies, and orchids tend to last longer. More delicate blooms like tulips or peonies have a shorter window but make up for it in impact.
The reason ours last longer than what you might be used to is freshness. We source from the Flower District every morning. The flowers you receive were likely cut within the last few days—not shipped cross-country or sitting in a distribution center.
Change the water every two days. Keep the arrangement out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Trim the stems at an angle every few days. That’s it. You’ll get a full week or more out of most arrangements.
Yes. Our drivers are familiar with Manhattan building protocols—doorman procedures, security desks, buzzer systems, and package rooms.
If there’s a doorman, we hand it off directly and get a signature. If it’s a walk-up or a building with a buzzer system, we contact the recipient or follow the delivery instructions you provide. If no one’s available and it’s not safe to leave the arrangement, we’ll reach out to reschedule or arrange an alternative.
This is one of the biggest pain points with flower delivery in NYC, especially in neighborhoods like the Lower East Side where building types vary wildly. We’ve been doing this long enough to know what works. If you have specific instructions—gate codes, unit numbers, preferred delivery times—include them in your order and we’ll follow them.
Because you’re paying for fresh flowers, local service, and no middleman fees. A lot of online flower services look cheaper upfront, then add delivery fees, service fees, and “small order” fees at checkout. By the time you’re done, you’ve paid the same or more—and the arrangement gets handed off to whatever local shop has availability that day.
We don’t use wire services. We don’t outsource. Your money goes toward the actual flowers and the people designing and delivering them. That means better quality, better longevity, and better service.
If you want flowers that last three days and look like a grocery store bouquet, you can find cheaper options. If you want an arrangement that lasts a week and actually reflects the occasion, that costs more. It’s worth it.
Both. If you see something on our site that works, order it. If you want something specific—certain colors, certain flowers, a particular size or style—call us or add notes to your order and we’ll design it custom.
We work with your vision. If you’re sending flowers for an apology, we’re not going to design the same arrangement we’d send for a birthday. If the recipient has a favorite flower or color, we’ll build around that. If you’re not sure what works, we’ll ask a few questions and guide you.
Custom doesn’t mean complicated. It just means we’re listening first, then designing. That’s how it should work.
