Columbia Midtown Florist sits right in the heart of the NYC Wholesale Flower Market on West 28th Street. That’s not a marketing line—it’s our address. We walk outside at 5 AM and the street is already lined with fresh inventory from overnight shipments.

You place an order online or call us directly. If it’s before 2 PM on a weekday, we can deliver same day to Marble Hill and throughout Manhattan. If it’s after, we’ll get it out first thing the next morning.

If you order before 2 PM on a weekday, your arrangement goes out that day. We’re not routing orders through a national system or coordinating with third-party couriers across five states.
Our drivers leave from Midtown and know the Marble Hill area. They’ve done the route enough times to know which buildings have loading docks, which require lobby check-in, and which doormen will accept deliveries for residents. That’s how we can commit to same day.
You’ll get an order confirmation right away, then a delivery confirmation with the time and who accepted it. If something goes wrong—weather, building access, wrong address—we’ll contact you directly to figure it out.
We match the style and color palette as closely as possible using what’s fresh that day. If the photo shows pink roses and white lilies, that’s what you’ll get—unless we’re out of one, in which case we call first.
Flower availability changes daily. We’re sourcing from the wholesale market, not a controlled warehouse with unlimited inventory. Sometimes the exact shade of pink isn’t available, or the lilies didn’t come in that morning. When that happens, we substitute with something comparable and let you know before designing it.
What we don’t do is send you something completely different without asking. If you ordered a tight, compact arrangement and we only have long-stemmed flowers available, we’re calling you. You’re paying for something specific, and you should get what you ordered or approve the change.
Weekend and holiday delivery depends on the specific date and how far in advance you order. We’re not open every Sunday, and some holidays we’re closed entirely. The best move is to call us or check the website for that specific date.
For holidays like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, we’re running at three to five times normal capacity. If you’re ordering the morning of, we probably can’t help you. If you order a few days ahead, we can usually make it work.
Marble Hill is within our standard delivery zone, so if we’re delivering that day, we can get to you. We just need enough lead time to plan the route and make sure we’re not overbooked. Last-minute holiday orders are tough for any florist, and we’d rather be honest about what’s realistic than promise something we can’t deliver.
Because we’re not drop-shipping arrangements from a warehouse in New Jersey or outsourcing to the cheapest local florist who’ll take the order. You’re paying for flowers that were cut recently, designed by someone who works here, and delivered by our drivers.
National sites can charge less because they’re processing thousands of orders and spreading costs across a huge network. They’re also not guaranteeing the same quality. A lot of those arrangements sit in distribution centers, get shipped in boxes, and arrive half-wilted. You save $15 upfront and the flowers die by Wednesday.
We’re a local flower shop with real overhead, real designers, and a reputation that matters. If we send out garbage, you’re not calling a 1-800 number—you’re calling us, and we have to fix it. That keeps us honest. It also costs more.
We deliver throughout Manhattan, with same day service available below 100th Street for orders placed before 2 PM weekdays. Marble Hill is within our delivery area, and we’re familiar with the neighborhood.
If you need flowers sent to Brooklyn, Queens, or another borough, we can usually arrange it, but it might not be same day depending on the route. Our drivers are based in Midtown, so the farther out we go, the longer it takes.
For destinations outside NYC, we work with a network of other florists we trust. We’re not handing your order off to a random shop—we’re coordinating with people we’ve worked with before. You’ll still get quality, but it won’t be our designers making it. If that matters to you, stick with Manhattan deliveries where we control the whole process.
