You need flowers delivered today, and you need them to look like what you ordered. Not wilted. Not half the size. Not “sorry, we substituted everything.”
Order before 2 PM on weekdays, and your flower bouquet gets delivered the same day anywhere in the Upper East Side. Our shop is at 51st Street in Midtown, which means we’re not shipping from New Jersey or coordinating with a third-party florist who may or may not show up. We handle it directly.
Every arrangement is made fresh to order. Our florists visit the flower market each morning to hand-select stems that are actually thriving. You’re getting flowers at their peak, arranged by someone who knows the difference between a tight bud that’ll open beautifully and one that won’t.
We also know Manhattan buildings. Doormen, concierge desks, security protocols, loading docks. Our drivers coordinate with building staff to make sure your flowers reach the right person without sitting in a lobby for hours or getting left outside in July.
Columbia Midtown Florist operates from 3 West 51st Street, right in the heart of Manhattan. We’ve built our reputation on delivering fresh flower arrangements to the Upper East Side, Midtown offices, hotels, hospitals, and residential buildings throughout the city.
We work with clients at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lenox Hill Hospital, and hotel concierge teams across Manhattan. That’s not name-dropping—it’s context. These are places where flowers need to arrive on time, look right, and last. We handle that daily.
The Upper East Side has its own rhythm. Sophisticated tastes, high expectations, and zero patience for excuses. We get it because we’re local. You can call us directly at (212) 871-8758 or email columbiamidtownflorist@gmail.com. You’ll reach someone who actually works here, not a call center in another state.
You order online or call us directly. If you order before 2 PM Monday through Friday, your flower bouquet qualifies for same-day delivery throughout the Upper East Side and most of Manhattan below 100th Street. Saturday orders placed by noon also get same-day service.
Once your order comes in, one of our florists starts building your arrangement fresh. We’re not grabbing a pre-made bouquet from the cooler. We’re selecting individual stems based on what’s best that day and what fits the occasion you described.
While your flowers are being arranged, we coordinate delivery logistics. If you’re sending to a residential building, we contact the doorman or concierge. If it’s an office, we confirm the floor and suite. If it’s a hotel, we work with the front desk. This is basic stuff, but you’d be surprised how many flower delivery services skip it and just leave arrangements wherever.
Your flowers get delivered by our team. You get a notification when delivery is complete. If there’s any issue with access or timing, we call you directly to figure it out—not send an automated “sorry we missed you” email.
Ready to get started?
Every flower bouquet from Columbia Midtown Florist is hand-crafted using fresh stems selected that morning from the New York flower market. You’re getting seasonal flowers at their peak—not whatever’s been sitting in wholesale storage for a week.
In the Upper East Side, people notice details. Arrangements here tend toward classic elegance with modern touches. Our florists design with that in mind, whether you’re sending flowers for a birthday, anniversary, corporate event, or just because. We can match specific color palettes, work around allergies, or adjust sizing for apartment spaces versus large lobbies.
Next-day flower delivery is available for orders placed after our same-day cutoff. We also handle standing orders for offices and residential clients who want fresh flowers weekly without having to remember to reorder. For weddings, corporate events, or sympathy arrangements, we work directly with you to coordinate timing, venue access, and setup requirements.
If you’re sending a flower bouquet to someone at a specific Upper East Side address, we already know the building or can figure out access quickly. That matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to surprise someone at their apartment or get flowers to an office before a meeting starts.
Yes. If you order before 2 PM Monday through Friday, we deliver same day throughout the Upper East Side and most of Manhattan below 100th Street. Saturday orders placed by noon also qualify.
Same-day delivery works because we’re located in Midtown at 51st Street. We’re not coordinating with a florist in another borough or waiting for a national service to assign your order to someone local. We handle everything in-house, from arranging your flower bouquet to delivering it ourselves.
That said, same-day delivery depends on a few factors. Building access can occasionally cause delays if a doorman is unavailable or if we need to coordinate with a concierge. We also can’t guarantee same-day service during major holidays like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, when volume is higher. If you’re ordering for a holiday, placing your order a day or two in advance is smarter.
You don’t—if you’re ordering from a national service that outsources to random local florists. But when you order from us, the florist who makes your arrangement works in our shop and follows the design you selected.
We can’t guarantee every single stem will be identical to a photo because flowers are natural products. Seasonal availability changes. Sometimes a specific rose variety isn’t at the market that day. When substitutions are necessary, we use flowers of equal or greater value in the same color family and style. If your order has specific requirements—like “no lilies” or “only white flowers”—note that when you order, and we’ll follow it.
The bigger issue in this industry isn’t minor substitutions. It’s companies that show you a lush arrangement online, then deliver something half the size with wilted stems. We don’t do that. Our florists hand-select fresh flowers each morning, and every arrangement is made to order. If something arrives and it’s genuinely not right, call us at (212) 871-8758 and we’ll handle it.
We coordinate with building staff to make sure your flowers reach the recipient, even if they’re not home when we arrive. For Upper East Side residential deliveries, that usually means leaving the arrangement with a doorman or concierge who can get it to the right apartment.
If there’s no doorman and no one answers, we call the recipient to arrange a better delivery time. We don’t just leave flowers outside, especially in summer heat or winter cold. Flowers sitting in extreme temperatures for hours won’t look good when someone finally brings them inside.
For office deliveries, we confirm the floor and suite number, then leave arrangements with reception or a colleague if the recipient is in a meeting. If you’re sending flowers as a surprise and you’re worried about logistics, call us when you order. We can add delivery instructions or contact the building in advance to confirm the best way to get flowers to the right person.
Yes. We deliver to hotels, hospitals, office buildings, event venues, and residential addresses throughout Manhattan daily. Columbia Midtown Florist has worked with hotels and concierge services across the city for years, and we coordinate regularly with Lenox Hill Hospital for patient deliveries.
Hotels usually require us to drop arrangements at the front desk with the guest’s name and room number. We confirm that information with the concierge to make sure your flowers reach the right person. For hospitals, delivery protocols are stricter. Some floors don’t allow flowers due to patient allergies or medical restrictions, so we verify with hospital staff before delivering.
If you’re sending a flower bouquet to someone staying at a hotel or recovering in a hospital, include as much detail as possible when you order: full name, room number if available, and any special instructions. The more information we have, the smoother delivery goes. And if there’s any issue, we call you directly rather than just marking the order as undeliverable.
For weddings and large events, reach out at least four to six weeks before your date. That gives us time to discuss your vision, confirm flower availability, coordinate with your venue, and handle any design revisions before the event.
Wedding flowers are one of our specialties. We work with venues throughout New York City and handle everything from bridal bouquets and boutonnieres to ceremony arrangements and reception centerpieces. We also manage setup and delivery, so you’re not worrying about logistics on your wedding day.
For corporate events or smaller gatherings, two weeks’ notice is usually enough. If you need flowers for a last-minute event, call us at (212) 871-8758. We can often accommodate rush orders depending on the size and complexity of what you need. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we have to source specific flowers and design arrangements that fit your event perfectly.
