Hear from Our Customers
Life moves fast in Times Square. Birthdays sneak up. You’re in back-to-back meetings, your phone’s blowing up with reminders, and suddenly it’s 1 PM on the day you needed flowers delivered three blocks away.
That’s where we come in. Order before 2 PM Monday through Friday, and your birthday bouquet gets delivered same day anywhere in Manhattan below 100th Street. Not tomorrow. Today.
Every arrangement is made fresh by actual florists at our shop on West 51st Street. We source flowers each morning from the wholesale district, so what you’re sending isn’t sitting in a warehouse in New Jersey. It’s vibrant, it smells right, and it lasts longer than the grocery store bundles that wilt by Tuesday.
You’re not just checking a box. You’re sending something that makes someone’s day better. That’s what happy birthday flowers should do.
Columbia Midtown Florist sits at 3 West 51st Street, right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. We’ve been here long enough to know every doorman, every loading dock protocol, and every security desk between here and Herald Square.
That matters when you’re trying to get birthday roses delivered to someone’s office at Rockefeller Center or their apartment near Bryant Park. We don’t outsource to third-party couriers who get lost or leave flowers with the wrong person. Our team handles it start to finish.
We’ve done flowers for TV sets, corporate events, and last-minute apologies that couldn’t wait. If timing matters and quality can’t be compromised, you call a florist who’s actually local. That’s us.
First, you pick your arrangement. We keep it simple: fresh seasonal flowers that actually last, designed to look impressive without the $300 price tag. You can add a personalized card message during checkout.
Once your order comes in, one of our florists starts building it. We’re not pulling pre-made bouquets from a cooler. Each one is assembled fresh, checked for quality, and packaged so it survives the trip across town.
Then it goes out for delivery. Our drivers know the neighborhood. They know which buildings require ID, which ones let you leave packages at the desk, and which ones need a phone call to the recipient. If there’s an issue, we handle it.
You get a confirmation when it’s delivered. The recipient gets flowers that don’t look half-dead. Everyone’s happy. That’s the whole process.

Every birthday bouquet includes fresh-cut flowers arranged by hand, not boxed and shipped from a fulfillment center. You’re getting blooms that were picked this week, not last month.
We focus on seasonal flowers because they last longer and look better. Right now in New York, that means vibrant gerbera daisies, sunflowers, roses, and lilies depending on what’s available fresh that morning. If you want something specific, call us. We’ll tell you if we can do it or if there’s a better option.
Each arrangement comes with a personalized card. Delivery across Times Square and Midtown Manhattan is included when you order by 2 PM for same-day service. If you’re sending flowers to a high-rise office building or a residential tower with strict delivery rules, we already know the drill.
We also handle the vase. You’re not sending someone flowers they have to scramble to put in water. It’s ready to display the second it arrives.
This is what flower delivery should be in Times Square: fast, reliable, and actually worth the money you’re spending.
Yes. If you order by 2 PM Monday through Friday, we’ll deliver same day anywhere in Manhattan below 100th Street. That includes Times Square, Midtown, the Financial District, and everything in between.
We’re located at 3 West 51st Street, so we’re not shipping flowers in from across the river or coordinating with a third-party service two hours away. Our drivers leave directly from our shop, which means faster delivery and fewer chances something goes wrong.
If you’re ordering after 2 PM or on a weekend, we’ll get it out the next business day. We’ll also call you if there’s any issue with the delivery address or building access. You won’t be left guessing whether it showed up.
We offer fresh seasonal arrangements that range from classic birthday roses to brighter mixed bouquets with gerbera daisies, sunflowers, and lilies. The selection changes based on what’s freshest that week, but we always have options that work for birthdays.
If you want something specific—like all roses, or no lilies because of allergies—just call us when you order. We can customize most arrangements as long as the flowers are available. We’d rather have that conversation upfront than send something you’re not happy with.
We also do larger statement pieces if you’re celebrating a milestone birthday or sending flowers to someone’s office where you want it to make an impact. Those usually need a bit more lead time, but we can turn them around same day if you call early enough.
Arrangements start around $75 and go up depending on size and flower selection. Same-day delivery within Manhattan is included in that price, so you’re not getting hit with surprise fees at checkout.
We’re not the cheapest option in New York, and that’s intentional. You’re paying for flowers that were picked fresh this week, arranged by someone who knows what they’re doing, and delivered by our own team. That costs more than a subscription box service or a grocery store bouquet, but it also lasts longer and looks better.
If price is the main concern, we’ll work with you. Call the shop and tell us your budget. We’ll build something that works without padding it with filler greens to make it look bigger than it is.
Yes. We deliver to offices, apartments, hotels, and pretty much anywhere else in Times Square and the surrounding Midtown area. Our drivers are familiar with the building protocols, security desks, and doorman procedures throughout the neighborhood.
If the recipient isn’t available when we arrive, we’ll coordinate with building staff to leave the flowers somewhere safe. For office buildings, that usually means the reception desk or mail room. For residential buildings, it’s typically the doorman or concierge.
We’ll also call or text the recipient to let them know the delivery is there. If a building has specific delivery instructions or restrictions, let us know when you order. We’ve dealt with just about every scenario you can imagine in Manhattan, so chances are we’ve already handled it before.
Most of our arrangements last seven to ten days with basic care. That means changing the water every couple days, keeping them out of direct sunlight, and trimming the stems if they start to look soggy.
We focus on seasonal flowers because they’re naturally fresher and hardier than out-of-season imports that have been shipped halfway across the world. Roses, gerbera daisies, and sunflowers all hold up well in typical indoor conditions. Lilies last even longer but need the pollen removed so they don’t stain furniture.
If something wilts within the first two days, that’s not normal. Call us and we’ll fix it. We source flowers fresh every morning specifically so this doesn’t happen, but if it does, we’ll make it right.
