Hear from Our Customers
You’re not ordering flowers weeks in advance. You’re realizing on Thursday that Easter is Sunday and you need something beautiful at your mom’s door, on the church altar, or as a centerpiece that doesn’t look like a grocery store afterthought.
Here’s what happens when you order from us. Your arrangement gets designed the morning of delivery using flowers we picked up fresh from the NYC Flower District. Not pre-made. Not sitting in a cooler since Tuesday. We’re talking tulips, lilies, daffodils, and seasonal spring blooms in soft pastels or bright, punchy colors—whatever fits the occasion.
Then it gets delivered the same day if you order before our cutoff. Our drivers know Midtown. They know how to navigate building security, find the right office floor, and hand off arrangements without the runaround. You get proof of delivery. Your recipient gets flowers that last more than three days. And you get to stop worrying about whether this is going to work out.
Columbia Midtown Florist is located at 3 West 51st Street, just off Fifth Avenue and across from Rockefeller Plaza. We’re not an online company pretending to be local. We’re a family-owned shop that’s been serving Midtown, the Upper East Side, Chelsea, and the Financial District for decades.
Every arrangement is made here by our team. We source flowers daily from the Flower District, design them in-house, and deliver them ourselves. That’s how we control quality and timing in a city where both matter.
If you’ve ever ordered flowers online and gotten something wilted or wrong, you know why buying local makes a difference. We’re accountable. We’re reachable. And we’re not outsourcing your order to some random florist three states away.
You place an order online or by phone. If it’s before our cutoff time, we’ll deliver same-day. If it’s after, we’ll deliver next-day. Either way, you’ll know exactly when to expect it.
Once your order is in, one of our designers builds the arrangement fresh that morning. We’re not pulling something pre-made off a shelf. If you ordered an Easter bouquet with lilies and tulips, that’s what gets designed—using the freshest stems we have that day.
Then it goes out for delivery. Our drivers handle Manhattan logistics every day, so they know the drill: doormen, building protocols, office reception desks, hospital security. If there’s an issue with access or timing, they call. You get a notification when it’s delivered.
If you’re sending flowers to a church for Easter Sunday services, we coordinate timing with you. Sunday delivery isn’t guaranteed everywhere, but we’re one of the few local florists in Midtown who deliver on Sundays when needed. Just give us full address details and a contact number, and we’ll make it happen.

Easter flowers aren’t just about lilies, though we do plenty of those. You’re also looking at tulips, daffodils, daisies, hydrangeas, and roses in spring colors—pastels like blush pink, butter yellow, soft lavender, or bolder tones if that’s more your style.
If you’re ordering a centerpiece for an Easter brunch, we’ll design something low and full so guests can see across the table. If it’s for a church altar or entryway, we’ll build something tall and dramatic with lilies as the focal point. If it’s a gift bouquet, we’ll make it hand-tied or arranged in a vase, depending on what works best for the recipient.
Midtown customers tend to need things fast, so same-day delivery is a big part of what we do. That said, if you’re planning ahead, ordering a few days early gives us more flexibility with flower selection and delivery timing. Easter week gets busy—especially the Thursday and Friday before—so earlier is better if you want specific varieties or colors.
We also handle corporate orders. If your office lobby needs fresh spring arrangements for the holiday week, or you’re sending Easter bouquets to clients, we can set up weekly delivery or bulk orders without the back-and-forth.
Yes, if you order before our cutoff time. Same-day delivery is available throughout Midtown, the Upper East Side, Chelsea, Soho, the Financial District, and most of Manhattan.
The key is timing. If you order by mid-morning, we can usually get it out that afternoon. If you’re cutting it closer, call us directly—we’ve built a reputation for handling last-minute requests when other florists say no.
Keep in mind that Easter Sunday is one of the busiest days of the year for flower delivery. If you need something delivered on Easter morning, order by Saturday at the latest. We’re one of the few Midtown florists that deliver on Sundays, but availability is limited and we prioritize orders placed in advance.
We deliver traditional Easter lilies, spring tulips, daffodils, daisies, hydrangeas, and roses in seasonal colors. Most Easter arrangements feature soft pastels—blush pink, butter yellow, lavender, sage green—but we can also do brighter, bolder spring palettes if that’s what you’re after.
If you’re ordering for a church service, lilies are the classic choice. They’re symbolic, elegant, and they fill a space beautifully. For home centerpieces or gift bouquets, we mix in tulips, daffodils, and other spring blooms for more color and texture.
Everything is designed fresh the day of delivery using flowers we source that morning from the NYC Flower District. That’s how we keep arrangements looking good for more than a few days. If you have specific flower preferences or color requests, just let us know when you order.
Yes. We deliver church flower arrangements throughout Manhattan, including altar arrangements, entryway displays, and memorial flowers for Easter services.
Church deliveries require a bit more coordination than residential or office orders. We need the full church address, a contact name and phone number (usually the church administrator or pastor), and the preferred delivery window. Most churches want flowers delivered Saturday afternoon or early Sunday morning before services start.
If you’re ordering a large arrangement or multiple pieces, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. We’ve done Easter flowers for churches in Midtown, the Upper East Side, and other neighborhoods across Manhattan, so we’re familiar with the logistics. Just give us the details and we’ll handle the rest.
If they’re fresh and cared for properly, most Easter flowers last 5 to 10 days. Lilies can last up to two weeks. Tulips and daffodils usually last about a week.
The reason our arrangements last longer than what you might get from a grocery store or online service is because we cut the stems the day you order. We’re not working with flowers that have been sitting in a warehouse or delivery truck for days.
To get the most life out of your arrangement, keep it in a cool spot away from direct sunlight and heat vents. Change the water every couple of days and trim the stems at an angle. If any flowers start to wilt, pull them out so they don’t affect the others. Lilies will drop pollen as they open, so you can remove the stamens if you want to avoid stains on furniture or clothing.
We deliver to Midtown office buildings every day, so we know the drill. You’ll need to provide the full street address, building name if applicable, floor and suite number, recipient’s name, and a phone number.
Most office buildings in Midtown have a front desk or security that accepts deliveries. Our drivers will leave the arrangement there with the recipient’s name clearly labeled. If the building requires the recipient to come down and pick it up, we’ll call ahead to coordinate.
If you’re sending flowers to someone’s desk and the building allows direct delivery to the floor, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Timing matters in office deliveries—if you want the arrangement to arrive during business hours, make sure to specify that when you order. We can also leave delivery instructions in the order notes if there’s anything specific we need to know.
